Management of additional slot requests sent by guests
What is a request?
A request is a petition made by a guest to obtain additional slots — that is, to add more people to their original invitation. Only guests whose invitation has the "Allow requests" toggle enabled (requestAllowed = true) can make this request.
The key difference from a direct invitation:
| Invitation | Request | |
|---|---|---|
| Initiative | The organizer invites | The guest asks for more spots |
| Flow | Organizer → Guest | Guest → Organizer |
| Required action | The guest accepts | The organizer approves or rejects |
| Result if approved | — | New slots are automatically generated |
How are requests enabled?
When creating or editing an invitation, enable the "Allow requests" toggle. This gives the guest the option to request additional spots for people who were not in the original invitation.
If "Allow requests" is disabled, the guest will not see the option to request more spots. They will only be able to attend with the people included in their original invitation.
