Promotions & Discounts

TuTike offers two types of discounts for event buyers: promotions and discount coupons.

Type 1: Promotions

Promotions are discounts that apply automatically during a defined period. They do not require the buyer to enter any code.

Field	Description
Name	Promotion name (e.g., "Special Pre-sale").
Description	Discount description.
Active	Whether the promotion is enabled.
Percentage discount	Discount percentage (e.g., 20 = 20% discount).
Fixed discount	Fixed discount amount.
Visual banner	Promotional image shown on the event.

When creating or editing an event, you can link an existing promotion and configure:

Field	Description
Validity period	Start and end date during which the discount applies to that event.
Maximum capacity	Maximum number of discounted purchases allowed.

An event can only have one active promotion at a time. To change it, update the event.

Coupons are codes that the buyer enters at the time of reservation to get a discount.

Field	Description
Code	Code the buyer enters (e.g., "EARLY2025"). Maximum 50 characters.
Valid from	Coupon start validity date.
Valid until	End validity date (must be after the start date).
Active	Whether the coupon is enabled.
Percentage discount	Discount percentage.
Fixed discount	Fixed discount amount.
Usage limit	How many times the coupon can be used in total (optional, unlimited if not defined).
Maximum discount	Maximum cap on the discounted amount (useful for percentage coupons).
Minimum discount	Minimum discount that must be applied.

A coupon can have a percentage discount or a fixed discount, but not both at the same time.

Each coupon belongs to a specific event. The same event can have multiple active coupons.
